The Christmas Tag 2013

The Christmas Tag 2013

I recently came across this Christmas Tag and thought i would give it a go. I love Christmas, spending time with family, watching all the christmas movies that come on TV, eating lots of food!
Kirstie from A Yellow Brick Blog was tagging everyone, so i am really excited t be doing this Christmas Tag :)

1. What is your favourite Christmas song?
Erm.... I don't really know if i have a favourite. I love singing a long to lots of Christmas songs! I really do love listening to Michael Buble's Christmas album. I also used to love when i was little the Disney Christmas CD, in fact i still do love it! I do love singing along to 'I Wish it could be Christmas Everyday!'

2. Which is your favourite festive drink?
I don't really have a favourite Christmas drink to be honest. I used to love a bit of mulled wine though!

4. What is at the top of your Christmas wish-list this year?
I don't really have anything in Particular that i want for Christmas. I'm just really grateful for whatever everyone gets me. I love surprises :)

5. What is your favourite festive makeup or nail art look?
I love glittery nails for christmas. I currently have a gold glitter nail polish that i am loving at the moment.  I like doing the smokey eye look during the winter. I also like adding a bit of glitter on my eyelids.

6. What is your favourite outfit at Christmas time? (LBD? Christmas jumper? PJ's?)On Christmas day i usually just wear my PJ's and then i will probably change in to a nice comfy jumper! If i go out Christmas Eve i like to wear a nice dress or a top an skirt with some heels.

Update - Healthy Eating, Painting and Spending Ban!

Hi guys!

I thought it's about time i did an update as it's been quite a while since i last did one!

It's been very cold the last few days, so i always like to snuggle up to my hot water bottle at night :) I bought mine from Primark for £5. Its so fluffy!
I have also invested in some jumpers to keep me warm when i am out or at college.
Iv'e become quite obsessed with jumpers lately! They look great with jeans or leggings.

So on to the healthy eating!
I always try and eat healthy although i do like the odd biscuit or two! Or a maybe a whole pack of party rings! (They taste so good!)

My mum recently bought this frying pan which i wanted to share with you all. I think it cost round about £30, which a lot of money for a frying pan, but the difference with this one is, is that you don't put any oil or anything in what so ever. You just put your food in in and let it cook!
You do have to be careful whilst using it though, you must only use a wooden spoon or plastic one to use in the pan to stir your food as it will scratch all the surface of the pan and not work anymore.
You also have to have the heat quite low too so underneath doesn't burn. But the food will still cook really quick as it is made differently and you can have the heat really low and the heat still spreads around the pan heating it up well so your food cooks.

All in all this is a very good product. You can buy it from most shops. I think my mum got this one from Wilko's.

Here i just cut up some mushrooms, peppers, asparagus, broccoli and tomatoes and put them straight in to the pan. Delicious :)

I have been working on my new oil painting and it's almost finished now.
I find it so relaxing painting. I love using oil paints.
You may remember i posted a photo of my last oil painting on here a while ago.
I can't wait to start my next painting :)

There is still a little bit more i want to do yet, but i'm really happy how it has turned out :)

I have decided to put myself on a spending ban! I recently bought a Macbook Pro which i absolutely love. But i have decided that i now need to stop spending and to start saving again. The only things which i am going to spend money on now is Christmas Presents.
I also try not to have any money in my purse as i always seem to end up spending it.
I am determined that i am going to keep up this spending ban. I have seen many other blog posts where other bloggers are doing this, so i have been looking at tips and tricks where i can save money.
I do have a few of my own which i would love to share with you guys, watch this space.

It is so easy to spend money, it's there and then it's gone again!
I have been doing some extra hours at work lately, so i am able to save a little bit more. As i am a full time student i only work part time, but its good to have some few extra hours here and there.

I really do love my Macbook Pro and i highly recommend them. I got the 13" Macbook Pro with Retina Display. I was looking at the 15" ones but this one is plenty big enough for me.
I also got the home and student software so i can have word and publisher on it and a lovely pink case to put it in.
Although they are quite pricey they are amazing. I'm so happy i got this one.

I can't believe it is nearly December already, the days just go so quick!
And before you know it, it's the new year already!
I always look forward to Christmas as i love spending it with my family :)
It's also my mums birthday on Christmas day too so i love spending the day with her.

Soon be time to put the tree up :) Yay!

Please feel free to leave a comment in the comment section below :) I love reading what you guys think and if you have any questions i will answer them asap.

Why do I wear make-up tag

When did I begin loving make-up ?
I started to get curious about make-up when I was about 10. I used to raid my mums make-up bag and go straight for the lipsticks! What a mess I made! Me and my cousin used to put these red lipsticks on each other as they were our favourite. I then started to experiment more with make up when i got to secondary school and started using a little powder and concealer. We wasn't allowed to wear any make up at school so i used to wait till i got home or went out with my friends at the weekend. I remember when i first started using foundation i hadn't got a clue on how to blend it in properly! At the time i thought i did a good job, until one of my friends pointed out that i had a long orange line where i hadn't blended it in! But all of this learnt me to be more careful when applying make up and to become much better at putting it on.

How do you feel without make-up ?
To be honest i feel much better when i have got make-up on, but i do love having a lazy day now and again when i'm not busy and have a day without wearing make up. It does feel good when i haven't got any on as i feel it allows my skin to have a rest.

What do i like about make-up ?
I love being able to experiment with colours and finding out what best suits me. I love using eyeliner, as i like doing the little flicks. I also love smokey eyes so i like experimenting with different colours to achieve this. I also love that there are so many products and brands to choose from now, as there is so much choice. It's great that there is also a lot more affordable make-up brands so you only need to spend a few pounds.

My 3 Holy Grail items ?
Lipstick :) I am completely obsessed with lipsticks! My current favourite is the Coral In Gold one by Rimmel London.

Mascara! Mascara always opens my eyes up that little more and makes me look more awake.

I always have a concealer on hand to cover blemishes as i do get the odd breakout now and again

I tag anyone who reads this :) Please comment below if you did it xo

Yankee Candle - Christmas Candles

I love Yankee Candles, they smell so nice :)

I recently went on to their website and saw that they have got the Christmas range out.

There is quite a few to choose from and they all looked so nice, but these 3 really caught my eye.

"Have a very merry Christmas with the Yankee Candle Snowflake Cookie Housewarmer Jar. A new Christmas tradition that is sure to charm: perfectly pretty holiday cookies, deliciously decorated with sugary pink icing."

"Have a very merry Christmas with the Yankee Candle Christmas Eve Housewarmer Jar. This luxury Christmas candle combines the aromas of sugared plums, candied fruit and a warm hearth in a happy home."

"Enjoy the festive season with the Yankee Candle Merry Marshmallow Housewarmer Jar. It's a marshmallow world at Christmas! Find happiness in a delightfully juscious and creamy soft concoction of marshmallow and vanilla."

I definitely can't wait to smell these :)

Please let me know which Yankee Candle you love best.
