Makeup Academy - Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter

I have been on the hunt recently for a inexpensive skin highlighter and knowing that Makeup Academy do amazing products at bargain prices I decided to have a look at their range in my local Superdrug. As soon as I bought this I had a look online to have a look at reviews and I found so many great ones and how much people love this product. I have bought items from this brand before and I have loved every single one of them. My favourite being the One Direction lipsticks, you can find my post on one of these beauties that I did a while back. I knew straight away that I was going to love this shimmer highlighter.

Makeup Academy say:
Undress your Skin Highlighting Powder is a lightweight baked powder designed to provide sheer coverage and a radiant soft-focus effect to transform your complexion with luminescence shimmer.
The Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder perfects any look by creating a natural, healthy glow that is suitable for all skin tones.
What I think:
As you can see in the photo above it is very pigmented which I love. It applies really easy to the skin and leaves a really nice but subtle shimmer. To apply this I use my Bubbi make up brush. I highly recommend checking this product out and also checking out the brand in general if you haven't done so already. Their products are such great value and their lipsticks are only £1 and most of their products are under £5 anyway.

You can buy this highlighter from you local super drug that stock Makeup Academy products and also online here. This costs just £3 which is such a great bargain, you get so much product in it and it is just an all round amazing highlighter.

Booja - Booja Hunky Punky Chocolate

I always get super excited when I find a new product that I am able to eat that is dairy, wheat and gluten free. I recently went to my local Holland and Barrett store and as I was browsing I came across these gorgeous little pots of chocolate ice cream. I have actually come across this brand before but have never actually tried anything from their range. As you can see on the pot it says 'Luxuriously rich, truffley smooth, dark chocolate.' Let me tell you these little pots of deliciousness stay true to their word. I mean, I cant get enough of these. If I could I would most likely eat a whole freezer of these, minus the freezer of course. Just thinking of these now is making my mouth water!

Booja-Booja is based in Norfolk and have a wide range of delicious products (highly recommend checking them out) that are dairy free, gluten free, raw, soya free, sugar free and organic. They are also vegan.
You can check Booja-Booja out over at their website

Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Chic

I am a huge fan of Tanya Burr so it was only normal when I got super excited about Tanya's lipgloss and nail polish collection. Ever since Tanya launched her Lipgloss collection I just couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I made my way to Superdrug to pick one up, I knew straight away which one I wanted. The one I chose is the one in 'Chic' which is absolutely gorgeous. I am obsessed when it comes to lip gloss and Ive always been fond of a nude lip. This colour is perfect for my lips and is just amazing. Ive read and heard so many great reviews on these lip glosses and how lovely they look on your lips. I was super excited to try it when I got home (such cute packaging.)

There are 12 lip glosses in total and come in the shades -
Smile, Dream, Sparkle - Champagne Toast - First Date - Just Peachy - Afternoon Tea - Chic - Picnic In The Park - Aurora - Exotic Island - Let's Travel The World - Heart Skipped A Beat - Vampire Kiss.

What I love about the Tanya Burr lipgloss in Chic -
To be honest i love everything about this gloss, from the packaging to the shade to the scent (these beauties smell so good.) I found that this applies to my lips really easy and a little goes a long way. I love how once applied this leaves my lips feeling very moisturised. This is my go to product in my bag that i take everywhere. These glosses are also very long wearing may i add, it lasts for ages on my lips without having to reapply for quite some time.

What is your favourite Tanya Burr Lipgloss?

Mini Lush Haul

I recently went to my nearest Lush store (as you do!) and decided on these three products, not just because they smell absolutely amazing, because they really do, but because I have read some really great reviews on these products.

First up is the Karma Bubble Bar. This bubble bar really caught my eye, its just so pretty and of course like all Lush products smells so amazing. The Karma Bubble Bar contains sweet orange oil, patchouli oil and pine oil. This product claims to have relaxing properties, just by smelling it, it makes me feel relaxed. I have actually used this one and my bath smelt so good. All i did was hold it under the tap in warm running water and let it melt in the water. You may use these different to how I do for example you can just break some off and squish it in your hand and put under running water. I also let this bubble bar last me a couple of baths and you get so many bubbles from just a tiny bit. But as I've already mentioned, this bubble bar has a gorgeous scent. I cant even describe how great it smells. You can buy this from your local Lush store or online for £3.25.

Next up is the Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment. This bath melt really does smell so good (I literally cant stop smelling it!) its also a gorgeous pink colour which I love. Lush say that this bath melt smells of dolly mixtures and candyfloss and i totally agree, it reminds me of sweets I used to eat when I was younger. This one contains marshmallow powder, cocoa butter, almond oil and chamomile powder. This products claims to be ideal for delicate and irritated skin so I'm really looking forward to using this. You can also buy this one from your local Lush store or online for £3.95.

Last up is the Avobath bath bomb. This bath bomb claims to be great for dry skin and really hydrates your skin. It contains lemongrass and bergamot oils,  Avacodo and olive oil. So this is definitely packed with some good stuff for your skin. I love the smell of this bubble bar, it smells so good. This has so many good reviews and I'm super excited to try it. You can buy this from your local Lush store or online for £3.25.

So here is my three products i recently bought from Lush, i think we all know now that I think every single Lush product smells amazing! Please let me know in the comment section below which Lush products you are currently loving or really want to try.

Sanctuary 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask

Some of you may know how much I love a good face mask, this one in particular I feel needs to be talked about, trust me once you try this you will know what I'm talking about. So I actually recently see this mask being used by Zoe (Zoella) on one of her videos and being all obsessed over face masks decided to hunt this down in the shops. So I went to my local Boots store and 'yay' I found it.

This is the Sanctuary 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask.

"The warmth of this Sanctuary Thermal Detox self-heating mask helps to open up the pores so the charcoal and kaolin clay can help draw out the impurities from deep within the skin."

How I apply this face mask -
First up I make sure that I have taken off all of my make up and that my skin is nice and clean, whilst leaving the skin slightly damp ready to apply the mask. I then squeeze out some of the product on to my finger tips, i only use a tiny amount as a little goes a long way, I then massage it all over my face avoiding the delicate eye area. I also apply some to my neck. I relax for 5 minutes and then rinse off with warm water and then pat my face dry.

What I think -
I had read so many great reviews about this product and after I saw Zoe using it I decided to give it a try. So when i first applied this mask after thoroughly cleansing my skin and removing all trace of make up, as soon as I applied it I felt the warmth of it all over my skin. After a few seconds I could feel it starting to cool down. This mask is so easy to apply and feels great on the skin. Having quite sensitive skin I have to be so careful as to what I use on my face but my skin is 100% ok with this product. I am a huge fan of Sanctuary so its no surprise that this is a truly amazing product. With some masks I find it hard to remove the product off my skin but this one just comes straight off which I like leaving no trace that you had even had a face mask on, apart from the fact that my skin looks noticeably healthier and glowing after taking it off. This has definitely become one of my must have items and will be one I keep going back to. Since using this mask I have noticed a huge improvement in how my skin looks and the occurrence of spots has definitely reduced.

The usual price for this face mask is £10.50, but remember to keep an eye out for offeres from time to time as i picked this beauty up for about £6.99. You can buy this from your local Boots store or online over at

Topshop Creamy Finish Lipstick In Ditsy - Review

What Topshop says -

"Velvet finish lipstick to smooth, moisturise and nourish lips. Apply for fabulous colour and moisturised, matte finish, wear alone or with gloss for a shiny finish."

What I think -

I'm always on the hunt for my next favourite lipstick and I've definitely found it with this beauty by Topshop. This is the Creamy Finish Lipstick in Ditsy. I absolutely love this this and it applies to my lips really well. Ive always been a bit wary of red coloured lipsticks as I've never thought that red would suit me, but lately i have ventured out of my comfort zone and purchased a couple recently. Im also a huge fan of orange and coral lipsticks especially ones that have a hint of gold in them. I am really liking the texture of this lipstick and as soon as i have applied it to my lips they feel all nice and moisturised, as with other lipsticks i have tried they can sometimes make my lips feel really dry.
I found that this does a really great job of staying put on my lips. It is really long wearing and although when i had my tea it had faded a little bit, it was still noticeably there.

This is actually my first ever product from the Topshop make up range and I give this lipstick a big thumbs up and i cant wait to check out more of their make up range. Ive recently looked online and there are a few products that have really caught my eye.

This Lipstick costs £8 and you can purchase it in store or online over at the Topshop website. I highly recommend checking it out.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

I am obsessed with this dry shampoo by Batiste and let me tell you, they smells so amazing. I am a huge fan of Batiste and I'm hooked on these, this is a product that i can't live without (especially on the days when i haven't washed my hair.) In the photos above is the Batiste Dry Shampoo in 'Wild.' Out of all the ones i have tried by Batiste, this is my favourite.

How to use Batiste Dry Shampoo -

If you haven't tried dry shampoo before and are intrigued to try it, here is how i apply it to my hair.

Firstly i shake the can well and quite vigorously and then i hold it about 30cm or a little more away from my hair and then spray it in to the roots. When you spray this product on to your hair, like most dry shampoo's it will come out a white colour on your hair, but don't worry because all you do is once you have sprayed it in to your hair, you massage it in using your fingertips. After i have massaged it in i like to leave it a couple of minutes before brushing my hair, you don't have to, but this is just something that i always do. After that you just style your hair as usual.

My Conclusion -

This product makes your hair smell gorgeous whilst making it feel as though you have only just washed your hair when in fact you haven't. I don't like to wash my hair every day as i feel too much washing and then heat really damages my hair. I usually wash my hair every other day or even leave it for a couple of days. This is why i love Batiste's dry shampoo's because they really do work.
They are great for if you are in a rush in the morning or just want to freshen up your hair. They are also great to have at festivals when you haven't got no way of washing your hair for a few days. I included Batiste Dry Shampoo in my 'Festival Essentials' blog post.

Here i have used the Batiste Dry Shampoo in 'Wild' and i love how much more volume it gives my hair. My hair is so much more manageable and easier to style. The dry shampoo also makes my hair all nice and shiny and looks as though i have only just washed it. I also find that it helps my fringe a lot too as when i wake up in the morning my fringe is pretty wild, so after i have sprayed the product in to my hair and massaged it with my fingertips then brush through, my fringe looks so much better as you can see in the photo above.
I highly recommend Batiste Dry Shampoo's as i have read so many over great reviews on these products and a few people i know have said to me how much they love them and how it makes their hair look as if they have only just washed it.

To check them out head over to the Batiste Website. You can pick these up in almost any drugstore on the hughstreet and supermarkets. A can usually last me quite a long time and for the normal size bottle they are usually around £2.99. You can also get bigger sizes ones for £4.99, I feel that they are really great value.

What is your favourite dry shampoo?

Free From Breaded Fish

This free from breaded fish is great for if you love fish in bread crumbs but are unable to have dairy, wheat and Gluten. You can put whatever you want with the fish, i personally enjoy having fish with potatoes and salad. This is super quick and easy to make and tastes delicious. Below I am going to write what i used in the photo above.

Free From Bread,
Cherry Tomatoes,
Fish (Your Choice, i used Salmon)
New potatoes,
Packet Salad.

(Told you it's quick and easy to make!)

Firstly i get a couple slices of free from bread and crumble them in to a bowl. Next i add some little chopped up cherry tomatoes to add to it. You can also add some chopped up olives and pop in to the crumbs to, which i love to do. Next i get the piece of fish and pop on to a tray then sprinkle the crumbs on top. Sometimes the crumbs may not stick very well but what i like to do is leave the crumbs that don't stick to the fish on the tray and then let them cook and crisp up then the pop them on to the fish when everything is cooked. Whilst the fish is in the oven i then get the potatoes ready and boil in a pan until soft. (I usually keep the potatoes cooking until the fish is done, you can keep them on a  low heat heat if they are done before the fish.) Usually i cook the fish for about 30 mins or its up to you really how long you like to cook fish for. Next i start to prepare the salad. I used packed salad for this and then added tomatoes, cucumbers and sweetcorn to it. (The little purple bits you see in the salad isn't onion it is purple cabbage, as everything i make and eat has to be onion and onion powder free.) Once the fish is cooked i then just take it out the oven and pop on to a plate with the salad and then add the new potatoes.

Homemade Free From Fish Pie

My mum and myself have recently been thinking of different recipes we can try that are dairy, wheat and gluten free. I have always loved eating fish pie, but since having to cut out dairy, wheat and gluten i haven't had one of these for so long. This is super easy to make and tastes so delicious.

Ingredients -

1 pack of Fish Pie Mix. (We got the one from Morrisons which has Cod, Salmon and Haddock in.) But can use whichever Fish Pie Mix you want.

Potatoes. (You can also use sweet potato if you want, or even cauliflower.)

Rice Milk. (You can use soya milk.)

Herbs. (We added some mint, parsley and coriander to gibe the fish pie some flavour.)

Free From Chesse.

Firstly we add the Fish Pie Mix to the bowl and pop in some rice milk, this makes it moist so it doesn't dry up whilst cooking. It also adds some extra flavour. Next we pop some potatoes in to the microwave, this just softens them up so they won't take long to cook in the oven. We then chop them up ready to put on top of the pie. Before we do this though we pop in some of the herbs that i listed above in the ingredients. This adds even more flavour to the pie. Then we pop the chopped up potatoes on top. We like to keep the skin on the potatoes as this makes them go nice and crispy in the oven. Lastly we get some of the free from cheese and put on top of the potatoes so it melts in the oven. With the Fish Pie we cooked some kale and put with the pie. This is a nice healthy meal to have and its also dairy, wheat and gluten free. As i said its super easy to make and you only need a few ingredients.
