My Favourite Fragrances

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely day. This morning started out quite dull and grey with some rain, but it's so nice out now. I even took Jasper (the dog) out for a little walk along the river. Today I have got a brand new beauty post for you and it's all about fragrances. I love doing beauty posts and I'm very excited to share with you this one today. For more beauty posts, check out my reviews on the Makeup Revolution, Iconic Smokey PaletteBody Mist by So...?Stila Colour Balm Lipstick in Avery and Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wash.

Do you ever automatically get transported to a specific time or place when you smell a certain fragrance? I know I do. There are certain fragrances that just bring back so many memories. For example when I smell Fantasy by Britney Spears, (one of my favourite fragrances,) I'm transported back to my years at college, as it was my go-to perfume. When I smell Fame by Lady Gaga, I'm back in Cornwall again. When I smell Let's Spritz by Zoella, it transports me back to camping with my friend Emma. I needed some perfume whilst on holiday and I found a Superdrug with the Zoella range in, I just had to get it and it was all I spritzed on myself. I find it amazing what perfume can do to our senses. When I smell any of the original So...? fragrances from quite a few years back, it reminds me of being at secondary school, and getting out my body spray and spraying maybe just a little too much all over myself and my friends. So...? Kiss Me was a favourite of mine. I can even picture a particular moment when I used it at school, what I was doing at that exact moment, getting it out of my school bag and remembering how much I loved the smell of it.

Looking At Old Photos

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely week. For todays blog post, I thought I would share with you some old photos from when I was little. I love looking at old photos, they bring back so many memories. I love looking at some of the outfits I wore when I was little. I also felt that this post will let you get to know me a bit more more. There are so many more photos that I found in some albums, some did make me laugh! I chose just a few below and also the one above too to put in this post.

I was born on the 2nd March 1990. I was 9 weeks early, my mum had to have an emergency cesarean and I weighed 3lb 1oz and then went down to 2lb something. The first photo below is me in an incubator. I had to stay in hospital for a while before I was allowed home. My mum said that the nurses came in to see me and I had somehow managed to twist myself around and my head was the other end of the incubator!

Wonder Woman: The Official Movie Novelization by Nancy Holder | Book Review

Hi everyone! I'm really excited to share with you today, Wonder Woman: The Official Movie Novelization* by Nancy Holder and published by Titan Books. I am a huge Wonder Woman fan. I went to see the movie at the cinema a few weeks back and I love it so much. Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. My boyfriend even got me a Wonder Woman t-shirt, so it was only right I wore it to the cinema. ( I will pop in a photo at the bottom of this post!) I was so excited when I found out that there is a Wonder Woman novel being released.

Sunday Thoughts | I'm Back

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. It's been a little while again since I've done a Sunday Thoughts post. It's also been a little while since I have done other posts. I absolutely love blogging, but recently I have felt a little out of touch with my blog. I have always known how I want my blog to look and be, but I suppose recently I've been having those horrid doubts come in to my mind about my blog. I decided that the best thing to do, was to have a little break. I just needed some time to gather my thoughts about my blog and to decide on content, photography and just ideas in general. I have missed blogging a lot, as I really do have a strong love for it.

Five Favorite Retellings by Christina Henry | Lost Boy Blog Tour

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely week so far. I am so excited to share with you 'My Five Favorite Retellings by Christina Henry. A while back I reviewed Lost Boy by Christina Henry, you can view the post here. If you have already read my review, you may remember me writing this...

"I was very excited when I received this book in the post. Although I am someone who loves the Disney tales of these stories, I'm also quite interested in reading different takes on them. As we know, some the original stories of our favourite fairytales, before they were made in to Disney films, have changed a lot over the years, some very dark and quite different to how we know them today. Christina Henry has reimagined the world of Neverland from J.M. Barrie's dark classic of Peter Pan and we read the story from the perspective of Peter's first and best lost boy Jamie."

Well, in todays post, Christina Henry shares with you her favourite story retellings.

Also don't forget to check out the blogs below, who are also part of the Lost Boy Blog Tour.

Sunday Thoughts

Hi everyone! I hope you have had a lovely weekend. This weekend had been spent mostly cleaning and tidying, as it's something I have been putting off! But at least it's done now. I've also been trying to relax a little too, as over the past few weeks I have really been struggling with my anxiety and OCD. I am still currently having my CBT sessions, I've still got a few left and I know I've still got a way to go but I'm finding them to be really helpful, and I'm even more determined to take back control. I've got my next session tomorrow. For the last few sessions I've actually been having a walk to them. It takes me about 25/30 mins, but having a walk always makes me feel a little bit better and I also look forward to having a walk too. I can just take my time and get some fresh air. It's just little things like that, that I have been trying to do.

My Little Pony, Fluttershy Pop! Vinyl

Hi everyone! Yes that's right, I have added a new Pop! Vinyl to my collection. In one of my previous posts, I mentioned about how my boyfriend has kind of got me obsessed with them. He actually has a quite a large collection of Pop! Vinyl's. At the moment I have only got three. I have Catbug from Bravest Warriors and Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I just love them, they are so cute and great to collect. They are currently sitting on my dressing table. I have always been a fan of My Little Pony and my favourite character is most definitely Fluttershy, so when I saw this Pop! I just had to get it.

Sunday Thoughts - What I've Been Upto

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. Today I am back with a new Sunday Thoughts post. I can't believe how warm it has been! The weather is so lovely out. This weekend I have mainly been out enjoying the sun and having a relaxing weekend. I went to a classic car and tractor rally. I love going to them in the summer and having a look round. I am a huge fan of classic cars.

After having a little blogging break, I have been posting everyday this week, I will leave links to each of the posts at the bottom. I just needed some me time. Recently I've been struggling quite a lot more with my anxiety and OCD. If you follow me on Twitter you may have seen that recently I have started having CBT sessions. Even though I have only just really started having them, I am finding them to be very helpful. I can and will win and I am determined to take back control.

Hi everyone! I hope you have a lovely day. A little while back I was of the Follow Me Down blog tour and for todays post I'm delighted to be part of the If We Were Villains blog tour. In this post you can find out a little bit more about the book and also a little bit about the author too.

Oliver's realises that hiss fellow classmates and friends are playing their acting roles not only on-stage, but off-stage too. My Disney Tsum Tsum Collection

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great week so far. I can't believe it's Thursday already. As I am writing this post I am also watching a new episode of Catfish. My boyfriend got me watching Catfish a while back. I had never actually watched it before and had no idea what it was about! I honestly can't believe that I had never watched it before, I'm quite obsessed with it now. I'm always trying to figure out who the catfish is when watching an episode. Anyway on to todays blog post...

Stila Colour Balm Lipstick - Avery

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. This week I am mainly writing blogs posts, taking photos and also doing some painting. I stocked up on some new art supplies last week ready to start on a new project. I have always love art, especially painting, I enjoy it so much and I also find that as soon as I start painting all of my worries just disappear and I'm just focusing on what I am painting. I've got a few ideas already on what I am going to be painting. I will definitely be sharing some pictures on here when they are finished.

Anyway on to todays new post. I'm so excited to share with you a new beauty review post. It's been a while since I have done one of these. A while back I won this gorgeous Stila lipstick in the shade Avery. If you have read some of my previous beauty posts, you may know that I am a huge fan of coral lipsticks. This lipstick is a peachy coral shade and I absolutely love it. I have never owned a Stila makeup product before, so I was very excited when I found out I had won one.

Mad Girl by Bryony Gordon | Book Review

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. I'm back with a brand new book review post today. It's been a while but I'm back again. I decided to spend a little time away from blogging and posting regular on social media. I think sometimes it's just something we need to do from time to time. I have been struggling with my anxiety and OCD a lot recently, but I am determined to win. I just needed a little break, it also made me realise how much I have missed blogging. A little while ago I shared on a blog post, three pieces of audio that I created for my third year audio project. You can listen to them here. In two of the audio pieces, I did them on anxiety and OCD. I would love to know what think of them. I wanted to create something to show my experiences and how having OCD and anxiety effects me personally. I've recently started having CBT sessions. So far I am finding them to be very helpful and also very interesting, in learning more about OCD and also learning more about myself, if that makes sense.

My Third Year Audio Project

Hi everyone. For todays blog post, I want to share with you my third year audio project. I actually did this project for the Wellbeing Centre at the University of Lincoln. I created these three pieces of audio to help raise awareness for anxiety, OCD and autism. You can check out my post here, where I talk about having anxiety and OCD. I decided that for my last audio project, I wanted to work alone and to create something that is personal to me and to create something that I want to create.

Printiki Photo Printing Service | Review

Hi everyone! It's been a little while since I've done a blog post, but I'm back today with a brand new one. I hope you are having a lovely week so far.

One thing that I really miss is taking photos and then going to get the film developed and having the photos in physical form. Now I just take photos on either my phone or my camera and upload them straight to my laptop, or I forget about them and like with photos on my old phone, I never see them again. I used to love buying a new photo album and sorting through my photos and putting the best ones into an album. In todays post, I am really excited to share with you, Printiki's photo printing service.

What I've Been Up to | Sunday Thoughts

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. I can't believe how warm it is outside today, it's so nice out. My mum and I went for a ride out today, we took some lunch with us and then sat next to the river while we ate. I love going out and exploring. Sometimes the most beautiful places are right next to you. On the way to where we went, we drove along the river and passed fields of horses, cows and sheep. It was so relaxing and even better with the warm weather. I'm so excited to share with you another Sunday Thoughts post. For todays Sunday Thoughts, I thought that I would share with you what I have been up to lately.

My boyfriend Chris had the week off work so it was really nice to spend some time together. On Friday we decided to go out to the zoo. We went to Twycross zoo. It's been so long since I've been to that zoo. I loved going when I was little. I had a great time looking at all of the animals, especially the Gorillas! One of my other favourite bits was feeding the birds. You go into this building where there are beautiful birds flying about and you can buy a little pot of nectar to give them. As soon as I walked through the door they come flying down to get the nectar. At one point I had one on my shoulder and two on my arm.

Having Anxiety and OCD

When someone asks me how I am, my immediate reply is 'I'm good thank you.' To be completely honest with you I'm not always fine, but I can't find the words to say that. I suffer from OCD and anxiety. Although I quite openly talk about my other health problems, I have POTS Syndrome and Interstitial Cystitis. OCD and anxiety is something that I struggle to talk to people about.

Oh My Cod | Gluten Free Fish and Chips Review

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely day today. For todays blog post, I want to share with you something very delicious. As some of you may know I am unable to have dairy and gluten and one thing that I have missed having so much over the last few years are some proper fish and chips form a fish and chip shop. I sometimes make my own using frozen free from breaded fish from the supermarket with some homemade chips, but you really can't beat some good fish and chips from an actual fish and chip shop! I recently found an article online that was also in my local paper about Oh My Cod, which is in Spalding, Lincolnshire, are doing gluten free fish and chips! I was so happy, as Spalding finally has a chip shop that does gluten free, I have been waiting a very long time for this!

StickerShop | Review

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely day so far. Fingers crossed the sun comes out again. It was lovely this morning, but unfortunately the sun is hiding again at the moment. But as it has been a bit brighter I made sure that I got some more blog photos taken! The rest of my week is going to consist of finishing off my audio project and dissertation for University. Todays post is something a little bit different, I want to share with you these amazing printed stickers from StickerShop*. How amazing to have your own blog header/button turned into a sticker. Such a great thing to have. I absolutely love them. As soon as I was contacted and asked if I would like to review some I immediately said yes.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wash | Review

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine was spent relaxing and catching up on shows on Netflix. I've also just started watching 13 Reasons Why, which is really good. My boyfriend is currently on holiday from work, so it's nice to just spend some time together. I've also managed to join in with more Twitter chats over the weekend too, which is something I have really missed doing.

Todays post is something I haven't done in a while, a skin care post. Quite some time ago I did a post on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, this time I am doing it on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing gel. Ever since I tried the micellar cleansing water I have been a huge fan, I have been using it for a couple of years now. I love it, especially as it is perfume free, I always make sure that all of my skin care products for my face doesn't contain any perfume as I have quite sensitive skin. I wanted to write this post because I love this cleansing wash so much and I highly recommend checking it out. This post is in no way sponsored, I really do love this product!

My Favourite shows on Netflix | Sunday Thoughts

Today I just have this urge to write on my blog. I'm actually really, really happy about it. Lately I have felt quite low in confidence and along with my anxiety, I just haven't been blogging as much as I would like to have done. I've had a few new posts out recently but nowhere near as many as I would have liked. So far I've been spending the day reading blogs and it's just gave me that little bit extra inspiration and motivation to write this blog post. If you've read some of my blog posts in the past, you will know that for a few Sunday's I started my Sunday Thoughts series. It was a post that I shared what I have been upto, what I've been loving and also some of my recent blog posts. It was also a post where I shared the things that have made me feel happy. It's actually a weekly series that I have wanted to bring back for quite some time now, I also got some lovely comments on my Sunday Thought posts. So here it is... my first Sunday Thoughts post of 2017 and definitely not the last, this time I want to stick to it.

Follow Me Down by Sherri Smith | Book Review

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. I can't believe with are now in April! It's also April Fools day too. I have seen quite a few April Fools jokes already and some I did fall for! I did also want to spend today taking photos for my blog, but unfortunately todays weather is nothing like yesterdays. It looks like it is going to rain! Yesterday was so lovely out and quite warm. Hopefully we will have some more nice weather coming. At the moment I'm snuggles up on my bed in my dressing gown typing and eating cookies! Maybe just a few too many cookies!

There are so many amazing books out there at the moment and I have got lots more book reviews coming soon. I've got a little pile either side of my bed waiting to be read, I'm just so excited to read them. I'm slowing getting there with my Goodreads book goal! How many books have you read this year so far? On to todays book review...

Follow Me Down by Sherri Smith | Book Extract, Blog Tour

Hi everyone! For todays post, I want to share with you an extract form the brand new novel, Follow Me Down by Sherri Smith, which was released on the 21st March. I'm delighted to be part of the Follow Me Down blog tour. This book is a must-read for fans of The Girl On The Train. Sherri Smith, author of this novel, lives in Winnipeg, Canada. Once the golden boy of the community, Lucas has disappeared the same day as the body of his student is pulled from the river. Beauty and the Beast, Belle Pop! Vinyl Figure

I'm so happy that the new Beauty and the Beast film is out. I'm hopefully going to go watch it tomorrow night. I've heard so many great things about the film. As soon as I found out that Emma Watson was going to be playing Belle, from that moment I knew that it was going to be an amazing film. Beauty and the Beast has always been one of my most favourite Disney films and Belle has always been one of my most favourite Disney princesses.

I blame my boyfriend Chris for getting me obsessed with Pop Vinyl figures! Although I knew of them and often see them in the shops, I never really thought about collecting them myself. When I started going out with Chris, he showed me his collection and throughout the months we have been together his collection is growing a lot! I've become pretty obsessed with them and although I have only got two, there so many more I want to collect. I just never actually knew how many characters they actually do. There are even The Walking Dead ones and My Little Pony ones too which are so cute. There are even Mean Girls ones. The list just goes on and on. Disney do so many Pop Vinyl characters. I recently went to Meadowhall with my friend Louise and we popped in to the Disney Store to have a look around, this is when I come across the Beauty and the Beast ones. At £9.99 they were a bargain, as if you collect them you will know that some can be pretty pricey. I just had to treat myself to a Belle one.

Stationery Haul

Hi everyone, I hope your are having a great day so far. I've just been to have my hair done at the hairdressers to get my roots done. Feeling much better now that I've got it done. I think i'm going to try and grow my hair a bit longer still. Now I'm back home, just had some lunch, watching YouTube videos and writing this blog post. It's been quite a while since I've done a haul post. For todays post I have done a little stationery haul. I am obsessed when it comes to stationery, especially cute stationery. I popped in to my local Sainsbury's and found some super nice notebooks, planners, and paper clips. They really have some amazing ones in at the moment.

A Perilous Undertaking by Deanna Raybourn | Book Review

Hi everyone, I hope you had a lovely weekend. I spent the weekend mostly binge watching shows on Netflix, oops! It just has to be done sometimes. I just needed some relaxation time this weekend and to unwind a little. There will actually be a post out soon with some of my favourite Netflix shows on, as I really want to share them with you. I also joined in the Blogosphere Twitter chat this weekend too, which I absolutely love. Everyone is so friendly. I would love to know which Twitter chats you love to join in with. I'm really looking forward to The Girl Gang Twitter chat tonight. Anyway, on to the book review...

Today I am reviewing A Perilous Undertaking* by Deanna Raybourn. This book is a sequel and is the second book in the Veronica Speedwell series. Deanna Raybourn is the author of the award-winning New York Times bestselling Lady Julia series. Although this book is a sequel it can also be read as a stand alone-novel. As you may know from my previous book reviews, I do love a good book cover, and this one really stood out for me.

Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones | Book Reveiw

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a lovely day, it's actually a rather nice day outside today, what with the sun shining. Unfortunately my lecture got cancelled today, so I thought I would write a new book review blog post instead, as writing book review posts are one of my most favourite things to write on my blog. I love getting stuck into a new book and going on a new adventure. Today I am reviewing Wintersong* by S. Jae-Jones. Just look at that beautiful front cover. I've also decided to use my new throw that I got the other day as my new background for the photos, I'm really liking it a lot. It's a light pink cover with feathers on. I also found this cute sparkly unicorn the other day, so I just had to include it into my photos. I love finding new things that I can include in to my photos. I'm always on the lookout for a good YA novel to read, please comment below what books you are currently loving.

My Birthday and What I've Been Upto

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far. It's March already and on Thursday it was my birthday! I can't believe I'm now 27! I just want to firstly thank everyone for the lovely birthday messages. In todays post I thought I would just do a little chatty type of post and share what I've been up to recently.

On my birthday I decided to just have a nice relaxing day and then during the evening my boyfriend and I went out for a meal to Nando's, which was so good. We also watched the new episode of The Walking Dead together. If you don't already know, I am a huge TWD fan. I am obsessed with it and it just keeps getting better and better. (My favourite character is Daryl.)
As soon as it turned midnight and the 2nd March, my boyfriend brought me a delicious dairy and gluten free chocolate cake upstairs that had Happy Birthday Clem on, which was so sweet. Although unfortunately the chocolate cake has almost gone now, it tastes so good! I also got to be on Heat Radio, which was so crazy and very unexpected, but I had so much fun and it definitely made my day. I got invited to take part in a game and I had to try and guess who the celebrity is. Unfortunately I didn't win, but it really was fun though to do.

The day before my birthday, my mum and I went to have a look round Queensgate shopping centre in Peterborough. I ended up spending most of the time in Primark. I bought a gorgeous light pink throw with rose gold feathers on. I also bought a couple of hoodies and the latest issue of Blogosphere magazine. We also stopped for some lunch from Boots and I got a delicious sushi rice salad which is gluten free. I love that more places are now catering for people who are unable to have dairy, wheat and gluten.

I've really missed blogging regularly these last few months. Unfortunately I have been struggling quite a bit with my anxiety and although I haven't been avoiding my blog on purpose, I haven't been blogging as much as I would like to because of my anxiety. I always worry about things so much and it's really knocked my confidence. My morning anxiety has also been creeping back the last few weeks. Some mornings I just really don't want to get out of bed. But I'm not going to let anxiety get the better of me, I'm determined to not let it win. Please comment below if you have any tips on helping anxiety.

I'm now in the last few months of finishing University and it's quite scary at how quick it's gone. I'm in the process of getting my dissertation done and also my final audio project. I've also just started my weekly placement, with three other people who I am working with, teaching year 6 pupils how to do radio, in which we will be getting them to then do two live radio shows on Siren FM in a few weeks time. We have done two sessions with them now and I am really enjoying it. It's definitely a great experience to do and I'm so pleased I chose to do it.

What have you been up to this week? Also happy birthday if it's your birthday too. 🙂

My New Blog Header

I want to share with you in todays post, my new blog header. I'm so happy with, I love it. Ever since changing my blog design last year, to a design by Pipdig, I knew that I wanted to eventually get a new blog header, rather than just use the one that come with the design. Although there is nothing wrong at all with that, I just wanted to make my blog that little bit more personal and have my own unique header.

I contacted Jemma from dorkface.co.uk and asked Jemma if she would be able to design a header for me. Having looked at Jemma's designs I knew instantly that I wanted her to design one for me. Jemma got back in touch with me very quickly and asked me about what I would like and colours etc. Jemma then sent me some drafts to look at and I immediately knew which one I wanted to go for, they were all perfect but I knew which one I really wanted for my blog. I wanted to incorporate the things that I love into the design, for example I love reading and my blog mostly consists of lifestyle, beauty and food posts along with book reviews. I love the design of the header I chose and I especially love the little pictures around it, especially the laptop one as it helps show my love for blogging and writing.

Overall I am so happy with the header Jemma designed for me and I highly recommend checking out her blog if you are looking for a new blog header to.

Spending The New Year In Scotland

My boyfriend Chris and I decided to spend the New Year in Scotland right next to the beach. We wanted to make the New Year that little bit more special, also as it's our first time going on holiday together, we wanted to have some lovely memories. I suppose you could say we were staying literally on the beach. It was beautiful waking up every morning and looking at the amazing view of the sea and all that was around us too. We stayed at a place called Rascarrel Bay Lodges, which is situated in Rascarrel Bay Beach, Dumfries and Galloway, in South West Scotland. I've added a photo at the bottom of this post of the lodge we stayed in.
