Hello lovely readers, it’s The Ordinary Blogger here from www.theordinaryblogger.com ! Today I’m going to be sharing some of my favourite YA fiction books. I personally love YA fiction it’s definitely my favourite genre to read and as a 16 year old girl I feel that I’m definitely the demographic these authors are aiming for, so congratulations to the books on this list you did what you were trying to do!
- All The Bright Places – Jennifer Niven
This is one of, if not my favourite book of all time! It follows Theodore Finch and Violet Markey’s whirlwind relationship while both of them are suffering from mental health issues of their own. I would definitely recommend giving this book a read before the upcoming movie is released!
- It Only Happens In The Movies – Holly Bourne
Most YA fiction fans will probably have heard of Holly Bourne before. I absolutely loved this book (and even reviewed it on my blog). I think it’s a really refreshing perspective on teen romance novels so if you’re looking for something a bit different then this book is for you!
- Eleanor and Park – Rainbow Rowell
Rainbow Rowell is a brilliant author and it was definitely a struggle deciding if I should put this book or another one of hers ‘Fangirl’ because they were both brilliant! This is another love story (can you tell I’m a sucker for romance?) but it’s brilliantly written and I really enjoyed it!
- I’ll Give You the Sun – Jandy Nelson
This book is the main competition against ‘All the Bright Places’ for my favourite book of all time. It follows the life of twins, Jude and Noah. I really like the switching perspective in this book because we get a brilliant insight into all of the characters and what they’re thinking.
- The Fault In Our Stars – John Green
I really couldn’t finish up this list without adding a John Green book, could I? He is one of the best YA fiction writers out there and there’s a good reason for that. There’s also a good reason this book is one of his most popular out there. It always says a lot about a book if it can make you feel something and oh boy did this book make me feel something! I won’t give anything away so all I’ll say is that you should DEFINITELY read this book if you haven’t yet!
So that wraps up the list of my favourite YA novels, I’d like to say a MASSIVE thank you to the lovely Clementine Rose for having me on her blog! I hope you enjoyed the post and I’d love to hear what your favourite YA fiction novels are in the comments or on social media! Thanks so much for reading!
