Happy Thursday! Or should I say happy Thorsday! I just love that gif! It’s currently the longest day of the year today. I’ve also heard that there is going to be some really nice hot weather coming. I hope so. I really want to go to the beach! Oh and have some more BBQ’s too. Today is also my Grandad’s birthday. He would have been 92 today. I miss him so much every single day. My grandad and I were very close. I always remember our phone conversations. At the end of the call, we would always say bye, but neither of us would put the phone down, so we would always wait to see who said something first and then it would go on like this for a while. I used to love doing that so much on the phone with my Grandad, it was out little game. I recently found some old recordings I did of my Grandad and I messing about with voice change thing on an old Nintendo DS. And although the recordings are only a few seconds long, they are my most favourite and I will always treasure them so I can always here my Grandads voice again.
Yes, it’s that time again for a what’s in my Birchbox post. And can I just say, that June’s Birchbox is just so gorgeous. Eeek, I love it. As you can see from the photos, this months box is a little different. To celebrate 5 years of Birchbox, this months box is actually a really cute tin, with a beautiful blue floral design on it. This month, Birchbox have gone with a very British tea party theme. You can check out my April Birchbox here and my May Birchbox here. Also just to put it out there, this post is in no way sponsored. I purchase each of my monthly Birchbox’s myself. I just love them so much. This is my third box. Without further ado, onto what I got in this months box.
The first product I got in my June box, is the Ella Eden Compact Eyeshadow in the shade, Julia. This eyeshadow in one of the products in which everyone gets in their box. Or rather tin I should say. This is a gorgeous pigmented mineral eyeshadow. The other shade that I could have chosen was Faith. (Birchbox sends you an email the month before, so you can select the shade of product you would like, for the product that everyone gets in their box.) The description says that it is long-lasting and to apply with a wet brush to make a bolder statement. I’m so excited to try this eyeshadow.
The second product I got, is the Benefit Porefessional Pearl Primer. This is a mini version on the primer and it’s quite some time since I’ve worn primer, so I can’t wait to use this as a base for my makeup. The description says that this primer features the same oil-free texture as the original one, but with an added dose of pink pigment for brightness. It sounds so good!
The third product in my box (tin) is the Number 4 Jour d’automne Smoothing Balm. I’m quite intrigued by this product, as it says the hardworking formula minimises frizz and restores softness whilst protecting against humidity and heat damage. This really does sound like the perfect hair product. As I have very fine hair, I’m always on the lookout for a product that will really help my hair. It says you just work a small amount through damp hair and then style as normal.
The fourth product I got, is the Polaar Velvety Sun Fluid Face & Body. I don’t think I’ve heard of the brand before, but I really like the orange packaging. I do love my suncream and especially one that is for the face, as some can be quite heavy on the skin. The description says that this one doesn’t leave white residue behind and it sinks into the skin quickly to protect your skin from UV rays. It’s so important to protect our skin from the sun, so I’m so happy that I got this product.
The fifth product is the Amika Bombshell Blowout Spray. It says that this works on both damp and dry hair and protects, nourishes, smoothes and volumises. It also protects your hair against heat. I’m actually quite pleased that this month I got two hair care products, as my hair does tend to get dry and I love finding new products to try, to keep it in good condition.
The last product I got was actually an extra, as usually, you get five products in your monthly box. The extra one is a little box of Whittard Of Chelsea Teabags, just to go with this months tea party theme. Inside you get three different blends which include, Earl Grey, Mango & Bergamot and Lemon & Ginger. I think these ones I will give to my mum, as I know she really likes flavoured teas.
I’m so happy with all of the products I got in my June Birchbox. Each one is something that I will definitely use and I know I will love. I would love to know what you got inside yours? Please let me know in the comments and leave a link to your post. Click here to get your monthly Birchbox.
