My Top 15 Films To Watch This Halloween

Today’s brand new post is all about ‘My Top 15 Films To Watch This Halloween’. Although to be honest, I love watching these films any time of the year, as it’s almost Halloween now, I’ve definitely got an excuse to pop them on and watch them! What better way to spend Halloween than watching some scary films. This post is in collaboration with Panasonic and if you are on the lookout for a brand new TV, especially with Christmas on the way too, I highly recommend checking out their 4k HDR TV Panasonic. They are simply amazing with their high definition, sleek design and a beautiful and bright, colourful display.

Although in the past I have watched many, many scary films before, I do prefer a more light-hearted scary film now, if that makes sense! I also like them to have a bit of humour in too. But I do like a good Zombie film! So I’ve added a few of my favourites in the list below. To be honest, this list is making me want to watch all of these films now! I would love to know in the comments below what your favourite films to watch at Halloween are? Do you like really scary films?

Clem Loves Halloween

The Nightmare Before Christmas.

There’s been a discussion on whether this film is actually a Halloween film or a Christmas film, but you know what, I would watch this film any time of the year! I love watching it at Halloween and I will most definitely watch it at Christmas. It’s one of my favourite Disney films! I think my favourite character has to be Zero! Who is your favourite character from The Nightmare Before Christmas?

Hocus Pocus.

I absolutely love this film. They had it on Netflix a while back and I’m really hoping they put it on there again! Another of my favourite Disney films. This is one of the perfect films to watch at Halloween.

Shaun Of The Dead.

Whenever I hear ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ by Queen, all I can think about is this film! I remember when I first saw this film, I was in college and they put it on at Halloween along with some other scary movies to watch, and this film actually scared me! I think at that time it was because I wasn’t a huge fan of scary films. It wasn’t until a couple of years later when I really got into much more scary films! Anyway, it was a while before I watched this film again, but now I love it! There are still one or two scenes where I look away, but it really is such a great film to watch at Halloween, especially as it’s a comedy too.

Zombieland.

This is such a great zombie film! I think my favourite character definitely has to be Tallahassee! He makes me laugh so much! I think my favourite scene has to be when they are in the mansion with Bill Murray! My least favourite scene, is the clown zombie, as I really don’t like clowns!

The Addams Family.

I love both 1 and 2 of The Addams Family Films! They are so funny and films I can just watch over and over again! I don’t think I’ve watched the third film, as it’s all different cast apart from the actor who plays Lurch. I may have to give it a watch one day. Have you seen it? I could never get bored of watching these two films!.

Beetlejuice.

It’s actually been a while since I’ve watched this film! I definitely need to put it on. Another amazing film by Tim Burton. Apparently, there is going to be a Beetlejuice 2! I can’t wait for that!

Scary Movie.

I think out of all of the Scary Movie films, my favourite is number 3! If you’re looking for a funny scary film to watch, then I definitely recommend watching the Scary Movie films if you haven’t already watched them. They are a series of American Horror parody films. But they are funny and a little silly too, but good films! Which one is your favourite?

Edward Scissorhands.

Oh, how I love Edward Scissorhands! I get so emotional when watching this film. If you have seen this film, then you will know which scenes I am talking about. This one is also by Tim Burton, so you just know it’s going to be a really great film.

Casper.

Yay, Casper. Awwww the Casper films are so good. I’ve always been a huge fan of Casper the friendly ghost since I was very young. Looking for a fun film to watch with the family this Halloween? Then I definitely recommend watching Casper films! One of my favourites is Casper Meets Wendy, which features Hilary Duff as Wendy the witch.

Clem Loves Halloween

Corpse Bride.

Yes, that’s right! Another Tim Burton film. There’s actually meant to be a link between this film and The Nightmare Before Christmas, if you haven’t read about it, I recommend doing so, as it’s actually very interesting. There are some YouTube videos about it too.

Warm Bodies.

This film is such a lovely Zombie film if that’s even possible! If you’ve seen it you will know what I mean. I’ve also read the book too, and loved it. It’s just so different from any other zombie film I’ve watched. I love the whole story line. A zombie called R, isn’t like any other zombie and falls in love with a human. Julie sees that R is different from all of the other zombies and together they try to bring humans and zombies together, especially when they find out that there is a cure. This really is a must-watch film. It’s so good. Nicholas Hoult is so good in this film and makes a really cute zombie!

The Haunted Mansion.

This will always be one of my most favourite Disney films. I could watch it over and over again! This film is actually based on The Haunted Mansion ride at Disney, which is also one of my most favourite rides! It’s been a few years since I’ve been on it though! I think it was in 2001! I love the scene with the hitchhiking ghosts, as they were my favourite bit on the ride.

Ghostbusters.

These are definitely some must-watch films for Halloween! I especially love the new one that came out! They have some very creepy ghosts in, but are funny and just such great films. And they’ve got a very catchy theme song too!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

I love this remake of Pride and Prejudice but with added zombies in it! This one is also a little different from your usual zombie, as the zombies in this film can actually disguise themselves as humans, which makes it that little bit more scary! I actually really loved this film and I really hope they make another one! I definitely recommend reading the books.

The Witches.

This film contains a lot of witches! After a boy stumbles upon a meeting of witches, they turn him into a mouse! I remember watching this film with my cousin when I was younger. I think the scene we most disliked was when the main witch takes off her mask!!!

So that’s my list of my 15 top films to watch this Halloween. I would love to know if any of them are your favourites? Also if you prefer some classic scary films this Halloween, a few you must watch are the Scream films, Nightmare On Elm Street films, Friday 13th films and the Halloween Films. If you are looking for something that little bit more scarier that is!
