It’s definitely been a while since I have done a monthly favourites post! I do miss writing them though, which is why I’ve decided to start them up again, starting with my August Favourites, a few of the things that I have been loving from last month. Also, I know I’m a little bit late in posting this, as it’s halfway through September already! Where has the beginning of this month gone? Also better late than never! I love these types of posts so much and I think it’s a great way to find new brands, products and books etc. And to also share with you what I’ve been loving this last month. Obviously, there is so much more that I have been loving and this could end up being a very long post! So I’ve narrowed it down a little and maybe some of those other things I’ve been loving can be in my September favourites instead. (Which will hopefully motivate me to continue writing these monthly favourites posts again)! I would love to know what you have been loving and what your August Favourites are, or your September favourites even?! Please let me know in the comments below. Now on to my August Favourites…
My August Favourites
First up in my August Favourites, is last months Birchbox. If you haven’t yet read my ‘What’s In My August Birchbox’ post yet, head on over to check it out. I got some really great treats in my box last month. I also want to mention how cute the box is too! Along with my 5 monthly treats, I got a couple of little extras too, which I love. I’ve been having Birchbox for 5 months now and it’s just such a wonderful thing to receive in the post each month. I’ve loved every single product I have received so far. If you are thinking of subscribing and getting your very own box, click here to use my link and receive £5 off your first box. I just know you’re going to love it. I just want to put it out there that I have loved every single one of the boxes I have received so far, (Check out my reviews for the April, May, June and July boxes) but as this is my first favourites post in a long time and it is August, I’m starting with my August box!
The Gilded Kind by Josie Jaffrey.
Next up in my August Favourites, is this truly amazing book by Josie Jaffrey. You can find my review for The Gilded King here. This book has already gone on to my list of my most favourite books of 2018. It is such a fabulous and addictive read. It’s got vampires, love, friendship, creepy zombie type monsters and so much more in. I can’t wait to read the second book in the series, The Silver Queen. (Which is coming out soon)! Looking for your next favourite read, I definitely recommend checking out this one. Especially if like me you love a good vampire-esque book!
Moroccan Rose Facial Oil by Dr Botanicals.
If you haven’t already read my review on this amazing and wonderful facial oil, click here to read it now. I have really been loving this facial oil by Dr Botanicals. The scent of the oil just so beautiful and gorgeous. It’s a dream to apply to the skin and absorbs straight in, so you don’t get any greasiness what so ever like you do with some facial oils. I received this facial oil inside a subscription box that I was sent to review on Clem Loves, you can check it out here. I was very pleasantly surprised when I found this product inside. I also found out that the brand is from Peterborough, which is just up the road from me! Although this facial oil is a little bit more than I would usually pay for a product, it’s definitely worth it, especially for the scent alone! A little goes a long way, so you only need to use 3 drops of the product. I just want this facial oil to last forever!
Yep, I just had to add Bonsai Trees into my August monthly favourites. To be honest, this could be in every single one of my monthly favourites! You may remember a while back I got one and tweeted about it. Well, I kind of went back and got some more! I’ve now got 5! I just couldn’t leave them though. They were in the reduced to clear section and needed some TLC. Their soil was so dry and their leaves had all just about fallen off. So I brought them home and they are doing well. One of them still needs some extra TLC, but fingers crossed, the little Bonsai will soon perk up a bit. If you are thinking of getting some new plants, I definitely recommend checking out if your garden centre has a reduced to clear section. They just may need a little bit of extra care. But I just couldn’t bear the thought of them ending up in the rubbish.
I literally binge-watched this show on Netflix. And I don’t regret it one bit! I am a huge fan of The Simpsons, I have been since I was very young. Not forgetting Futurama too. Such a great show that was. So when I found out that the creator of The Simpsons has written a brand new show for Netflix, I just couldn’t wait to watch it. And it didn’t disappoint at all. I love it! Now I’ve got to try and wait patiently for the next season of the show to come out. Disenchantment is an animated fantasy series, more for adults, and follows the story of Bean from the Kingdom of Dreamland and her newly found friends, as they go off on some crazy adventures. I’m not giving anything away, as it’s definitely a must-watch. If you’ve already watched it, let me know what you thought?

Lastly on my August Favourites is the Kindle store! There have been some really amazing books for 99p on the Kindle store recently. I just had to add this on to my August favourites! I must admit that you can’t beat a good paperback book, but I love that you can save lots of pounds by purchasing on the Kindle Store. Also, I’m running out of room for more books! Which is why I love my Kindle so much, I can store all of my books in one place and take it with me wherever I go. I’ve found some really great reads that I can’t wait to write about and share with you on Clem Loves. I’ve been finding lots of great Romance/Romantic Comedy novels.
So that’s it for my August Favourites. Don’t forget to let me know in the comments below what you have been loving throughout August? I would love to know!
