What better way to celebrate Halloween, than with cake!!! I must admit that I do have a bit of a weak spot for cake, especially when it’s as delicious as this one! (Definitely not just saying that either!) I am very honoured to be working with bakerdays on today’s brand new blog post. After seeing so many amazing reviews and blog photos of their wonderful cakes, when I was contacted and asked if I would like to review one, I felt very honoured and so excited to be able to collaborate and have the chance to review one. A huge thank you to bakerdays for sending me the most delicious and cute cake for Halloween.
As Halloween is almost upon us, I just knew straight away that I wanted to review one of their Halloween themed cakes. After going through the many lovely designs, I decided to go for this one, (in the photos below) as I’m a huge cat lover, so it was only right that I chose this one. To find out more about bakerdays, head on over to their website to find out more.
The one thing I absolutely love about Bakerdays, other than the cake is absolutely delicious, is that this cake fits straight through your letterbox. But if you are looking a bit bigger cake, then Bakerdays does those too, and cupcakes! Oh, and not forgetting they also do personalised balloons. The cake comes safely packaged in a box, and inside the box is a lovely keepsake tin, (which I absolutely love) that the cake comes in, which is very well protected. I will definitely be keeping the tin safe so I can keep using it. You can find some photos of the tin a little further down in this post. Inside the tin the cake is also protected well, to keep the cake nice and safe. It also comes with a piece of paper that says pull here, so you can carefully take the cake out of the tin without damaging the cake itself. (Very handy, if like me you end up making a mess!)
As you can see in the photos, the cake is beautifully decorated. I love the colourful stripes and stars around the bottom of the cake. It also goes perfectly with the flowers that I use in my photos! The cat and pumpkin design really caught my attention and it’s just so cute. Across the top of the cake it says Happy Halloween and then at the bottom underneath the cat and pumpkin, it says with love and a kiss.
I decided to go for the rich chocolate chip flavour cake, (of course) because I do love chocolate a lot! The cake itself is nice and fresh upon opening the tin, and it’s wonderful and lovely and moist and the icing is sweet, rich and very moreish. Being the cake fan I am, I can definitely tell you that this beauty is up there with my top favourite cakes of all time! I got about 4 servings out of this cake. I could have probably got an extra serving, but as I mentioned above, I do like cake! bakerdays cakes can be ordered as gluten and wheat free.
The letterbox cake is such a wonderful idea, and the perfect personalised gift for someone to receive through their letterbox. You can just simply take the tin out of the box and the cake is ready to give as a gift. The letterbox cake costs just £14.99, which I feel is a great price for such a lovely, yummy cake that you can have personalised and delivered straight to your door. bakerdays delivers all throughout the UK and you can also choose to have next day delivery. Or it’s even the perfect gift and treat to yourself! If you have got a special occasion coming up or just want to treat yourself to some delicious cake, I highly recommend checking out bakerdays. I’m so happy with my Halloween letterbox cake.
