My Top 15 Favourite Disney Cartoon Theme Songs

Happy Sunday! I hope you have had a lovely weekend. It’s so hot outside today! But it’s so lovely out. I spent my Sunday morning taking some photos and then I have spent today with my nan. We had a lovely roast dinner, which was so good! I even treated myself to a dessert. For today’s post, which I am really excited to share with you, is my top 15 favourite Disney cartoon theme songs. As I was born in 1990, there were so many great and amazing cartoon tv shows that came on TV on a Saturday and Sunday morning on channel 3, when I was growing up. Remember Diggit, which showed lots of Disney cartoons?! That was definitely one of the things I looked forward to the most at the weekend, well apart from having 2 days off of school too!

I just can’t believe that they don’t make Disney cartoons like they used to. To be honest you don’t even really get many Disney cartoons now. Below I have listed a bunch of my favourite ones that had awesome theme songs to them. I will leave a link too so you can give them a listen to and check them out. Also if you go on YouTube you can actually find full episodes of some of them to watch. They definitely bring back lots of nostalgia. Listening to them it makes me feel a little sad, but also really happy at the same time, because if there is one thing I loved when I was little, it was watching cartoons! Please let me know in the comments if you watched any of the following Disney cartoon TV shows and which ones were your favourites.

Ok, so I have a little confession to make. This post was originally titled, My Top 10 Favourite Disney Cartoon Theme Songs, but kind of turned in to my top 15! As halfway through this post, I couldn’t keep it to just 10! There are so many more that I love and the list could just keep going on and on! But I kept to 15, else this could end up being a very long post indeed!

My favourite Disney theme songs.

Goof Troop – At the top of my list is one of my all-time favourite Disney cartoons, Goof Troop. Oh, how I love this show. This definitely has to be one of the catchiest theme songs for a cartoon. You can check it out here. Some of you may know that I absolutely love A Goofy Movie and that it’s one of my favourite Disney films. This show actually first aired in 1992, so it was a little bit before the film and as you can see Max is a bit younger in this. I think what I really loved the most about this show is that we got to see more of Goofy, (I love Goofy) and meet Max his son and his other friends, and of course Pete! I mentioned above that it makes me a little sad when listening to some, especially this one, not a really unhappy sad, but it makes me think back to the days when I would wake up in the morning and get my mum to put on the TV and I would get so excited to watch it. This is a theme tune I could just listen to all day! I’m gonna listen to it again now! 😂💕🙈I think if you asked me who my favourite classic and original Disney character is, it would have to be Goofy.

Kim Possible – Ok, so I recently found out that Disney Channel is making a live-action Kim Possible film! How amazing is that?!!! And they have got their main cast for it too. I really loved watching Kim Possible and the theme tune is just so great! How adorable was Rufus! Kim Possible first aired in 2002. You can listen to the Kim Possible theme song here… “Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me”.

House Of Mouse – You have no idea how excited I was when Disney brought out House Of Mouse. It features literally all of your favourite Disney characters under one roof from all of your favourite Disney films. Click here to watch and listen to it and you will see what I mean. I just love the theme song for this. Also just look at how grown up Goofy’s son Max looks. In one episode he has a date with Roxanne! ❤️House of Mouse first aired in 2001.

Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers – This show actually first aired in 1989, but I remember it being aired on TV and I think I also had a video with some of the episodes on too. It was so nice to watch a show featuring Chip and Dale, as they are 2 really great and funny guys. I really enjoyed watching this show and their adventures with their friends. The theme song is really really catchy. Click here to listen to it. I just can’t help but sing along to it!

DuckTales – So you may know that they recently did a remake of DuckTales, and to be honest I haven’t watched the new series. But it would be quite interesting to watch. I am really pleased though that they decided to keep with the classic theme song for the new series. As it’s not DuckTales without the classic DuckTales song. Click here to listen. I must admit though, I do love the updated version of the song! DuckTales first aired in 1987.

The Little Mermaid – Yes, that’s right, Disney did a TV show of The Little Mermaid. Although there aren’t any vocals in the theme song for this, I love to sing along to it as it’s a mashup of Under The Sea and Part Of This World. I highly recommend checking this show out if you can find some of the full episodes to watch. Click here to listen to the theme song. This show first aired in 1992.

Aladdin – Ok, so although the theme song for the Aladdin tv show was Arabian Nights, like from the film, the songs from Aladdin are just so great and I love singing along to them. This was a really great series and it was so good to see more adventures of Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie. Click here to listen. Aladdin the animated series, first aired in 1994.

Timon and Pumbaa – I absolutely loved that Timon and Pumbaa got their own TV show! Yes, it’s got Hukuna Matata for the theme song, but who doesn’t love that fun and amazing catchy song! This show brought us lots more of Timon and Pumbaa and the new adventures they got up to. Click here to listen. This show first aired in 1995.

Jungle Book Cubs – I’m so happy that they used The Bare Necessities for the theme song for this show. If you have never seen Jungle Book Cubs, it features all of your favourite Jungle book characters, but as youngsters. It was such a fun show and one I loved to watch. Click here to watch and listen. This show first aired in 1996.

Recess – Hands up who loved watching Recess. 🙋This used to come on Diggit at the weekend in the morning. Recess first aired in 1997. This was one of my most favourites to watch. I really loved Spinelli! Who was your favourite character? Click here to listen to the theme song.

Hercules: The TV Series –  Yes, now this was a great series! I’m so happy that Disney decided to give Hercules his own TV show. Click here to listen. This show first aired in 1998. This features Hercules as a teenager and his friends and their adventures.

Lilo & Stitch: The Series – I’m not actually too sure if I watched all of the episodes to this, I’m gonna have to try and find them and give them a watch. But I definitely loved watching it and especially the theme song. I don’t know what they saying in some of the song, but I like try and sing along anyway! 😂Click here to listen. This show features Lilo and Stich and all of their friends in some brand new adventures.

The Emperor’s New School – How great is the theme song to this show! I love it. Click here to listen. This show first aired in 2006 and Kuzco has to go to school and graduate to become emperor. The Emperor’s New Groove is such an awesome Disney film and one I really love, so it’s great that Disney decided to do a tv series too.

Phineas & Ferb – This is a much more recent Disney cartoon than all of the others on my list, as this first aired in 2007. But it’s such a fun series and it’s got a great theme song! I love Perry the Platypus. Click here to listen. I may have been 17 when this came out, but you’re never too old for Disney!

PB&J Otter – Finishing up on the list of my favourite Disney theme songs is the PB&J Otter theme song. It really is such a feel good song. This was such an adorable and cute show and one I loved watching. It came on Diggit at the weekends. This show first aired in 1998. Click here to listen.
