Number 4 Texturizing Sugar Spray | Review

Hey there! Before I get on to today’s brand new post, which is all about Number 4 Jour d’automne Sugar Texturizing Spray. Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a great week so far. I’m currently sat writing this post, watching Gordon Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares and Come Dine With Me, and I’ve just made myself a chicken and pineapple pizza! I never used to like pineapple, but I absolutely love it on pizza, especially with chicken!!! What’s your favourite pizza toppings? My week has been interesting! You may have seen on Twitter that on Sunday I found out that someone had gone into my car while it was parked. No note or anything, they had just gone straight into my car and drove off. My poor car, it’s only recently just been in the garage too. My car has ended up with a big dent and they also smashed my rear light, plus other damage. Thankfully the garage got my car in straight away and fixed my light for me and one of the other bits that got damaged, but unfortunately after they had a good look at it, whoever went into my car has done a lot more damage to it than we thought. But I’ve got my car back again and I’ve just got to try and get the rest of it fixed now. It’s just so frustrating when things like this happen… and expensive too!

But I did have a lovely Saturday evening. I met my best friend Louise from A World Of Hearts and Beauty, and we went for a lovely meal in our local Wetherspoons. It was burger night, so I had a burger and chips, which was so tasty. It was nice to chill out and have a catch-up. At the moment I’ve currently got a few days off work, so I’m trying to sort my room out and give it a tidy and have a bit of a clear out and declutter. So far it’s going ok, I just need to be a bit more strict with myself and think whether I really need that thing and if I haven’t thought about it or missed it, do I really need it! If you have any posts on decluttering please send me your links, as I would love to read them.

I also suddenly realised yesterday that I’ve lost my Tangle Teezer, I’m so upset and I love that brush. I’ve had it ages! I think I may have left it at work by accident, I’m just hoping that someone may have put it somewhere safe and it’s there when I go back to work. If not I may have to spend a little and treat myself to a new one. I just love it so much and it really does get those knots outs without pulling at my hair bad. I find it also really helps my hair when I have put product in my hair too.

So, today’s post is all about the Number 4 Jour d’automne Sugar Texturizing Spray. You may be thinking that this product looks familiar and you’ve seen it on my blog before! It featured in my What’s In My August Birchbox post a while back. I’ve been using this hair care product for a little while now and I just had to write a review about it. As you can see from the pics, this product is a sample size that I got in my Birchbox, but you definitely get enough product in the bottle to last you quite a few uses. That’s what I love about Birchbox, sometimes you do get full-size products and the rest are sample sizes, but they are still very generous with the amount of product you get. I find a little goes a long way.

“We all know that the sweet stuff tastes delicious, but who knew that sugar could also do wonders for your hair?! Formulated with sugar cane, anti-static properties, and flexible styling aids, this texturising spray not only gives you loose, shiny waves, it also nourishes strands. Hair feels soft and the style stays intact even in the face of heat and humidity. Getting perfectly undone, beach babe hair has never been so sweet.” (Birchbox)

This spray applies really easy to the hair, and I find that I only need a few sprays on my hair. The scent of this product smells amazing, but I can’t quite figure out what the scent is. But I do really like it. It leaves my hair smelling lovely and after drying it too. The spray isn’t heavy or too much for my hair. After drying with my hair dryer, it leaves my hair all nice and soft and not greasy and heavy like some products can make my hair. I will say though that as my hair is very fine, I don’t really notice much difference with volumizing products, as my hair does tend to go quite flat anyway. I’m very careful with what products I use and how much I use of each product, as rather than helping my hair to look like it’s got more volume, it just leaves my hair feeling and looking all heavy and full of product. But I really do like how soft and healthier my hair feels after using this spray.

This product retails for £20, which to be honest, I really don’t like spending that amount on a hair care product. But as this spray does what it says on the box, I feel that if you are looking to treat yourself to a new hair care product, then £20 is a good price, as you do only need to spray a little on the hair. Having never tried any product by Number 4 before, I have actually received 2 in two different Birchbox’s. In my June Birchbox, I received a balm by Number 4, which I hope to do a review for real soon on Clem Loves.

Have you tried the Number 4 Jour d’automne Sugar Texturizing Spray before, or any other products by this brand? Or maybe you received this product in your August Birchbox? I would love to know what you think. Please let me know in the comments.
