Here is a list of a few things that make me happy…
Recently my anxiety has been getting worse, I’ve felt so down and stressed. For this blog post, I wanted to write about some of my favourite things that make me happy. Sometimes it can be so easy to forget about the things that make you happy, so I really wanted to write down a list so I can look back and remember all of the things I love for when I am feeling a little down. Some of these things also help me to feel more relaxed if I wake up in the morning feeling anxious.
The sound of birds signing – This is one of my favourite sounds to wake up to in the morning. I find it very relaxing and soothing. If I wake up early in the morning and start to panic, I like to lay back, take some deep breaths and listen to the birds sing.
Sunshine – Although some days may end up being not very nice weather, when it’s sunny outside I like to undo my curtains in the morning and get back in bed and just watch the clouds go by. Sunshine also automatically makes me feel so much better. So I really appreciate the lovely sunny days we do have. I love to go outside in the sunshine and just take some deep breaths.
My Family – I love my family to bits, so it’s always nice to go and visit my family. My mum has been helping me with my anxiety and stress and I really appreciate the help. I love spending as much time as I can with my family.
Going to the Seaside – One of my most favourite things to do is go to the seaside. My mum and I usually go to Hunstanton. We like to take a picnic with us and look at the sea.
Picnic in the Woods – Like the one above, another of my my favourite things to do that makes me happy, is go to Sandringham Woods and have a picnic in the woods. You are able to take your car through a certain part of the woods and park on the grass. There are lots of little visitors who come to say hello, such as squirrels, jay birds, pigeons and small deer and many other animals.
Listening to Music – When I listen to music, I always feel so much better, I may even sing along too! I love creating playlists on Spotify and playing them. I love listening to lots of 90’s and early 00’s songs. I also recently purchased a digital radio, so I love putting it on in the morning when I wake up.
Watching a TV Show or something on Netflix – I love finding new TV shows or films to watch on Netflix. If I’m feeling stressed, I like to put my laptop on and find something to watch, it helps me to forget the things I was worrying about, as I focus on the film or show I’m watching and I feel much happier. I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead and Z Nation. I’m also really enjoying watching Once Upon A Time.
Going out with friends – Going to the cinema with my friends or even go somewhere local, makes me feel so much more happier. It’s nice to just relax and chat with a friend.
Taking Photographs – One of my favourite things to do is take photos. I purchased a new camera last year and I’ve really been enjoying using it. I’m looking forward to the summer so I can visit more places and take lost of photos.
My Blog – This is definitely something that makes me really happy. I love writing on my blog, whether it’s beauty posts, lifestyle posts, or even food posts. It feels so good to be able to have somewhere to write and share my thoughts and feelings. I am also really loving the new blog design I have on my blog, this makes me feel really happy, every time I look at it.
