I do love a god subscription box! I love being able to try out new different products and products by brands I may have not heard of before. You might just find your new favourite product! Today I am reviewing the Secret Scent Box. I was very kindly sent the September Edition to use and review on Clem Loves. I’ve never personally tried a perfume subscription box before, so as you can imagine I was very excited when my September box arrived in the post. Having looked at the Secret Scent Box on Instagram, I was very eager to find out which scents I would receive in mine. As you can see in the photos below, the scents come packaged in a cute little box with the brand name on the front. Inside you get three different fragrances in very handy 3ml spray bottles. But don’t let the size of the bottles fool you, you get plenty of perfume inside each one.
Inside my box, I received sample sizes of Baiser Vole by Cartier, Wow! Women by Joop and Red Door by Elizabeth Arden. I hadn’t actually tried any of these ones before, so I was very excited to give them a sniff! They arrived very safely packaged inside the box and are placed on a velvety cushion foam which gives the box that luxurious effect when you open it. Inside I also got three cards which tell you what the perfumes are, in more detail and a picture of what the full-size bottle looks like, which is very handy if you want to go out and purchase them. On the Secret Scent website, it says that there is enough fragrance to last 30 days and ideal for approximately 4 sprays a day. Each fragrance is 100% authentic. And the best thing about this subscription box is that it fits straight through your letterbox, so you haven’t got to worry about missing it in the post. And it’s free delivery to anywhere in the UK and Europe.
Red Door by Elizabeth Arden.
“Named after the famous Red Door spas of Elizabeth Arden. An initial burst of red roses gradually becomes more of a floral bouquet.”
This perfume includes notes of Rich Freesia, Lily of the Valley, Wild Violets, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Red Roses, Sandalwood, Oak Moss, and Spicy Vetiver.
I’m actually wearing this one today. It’s a very luxurious and beautiful scent. I think out of all three of the ones I received, this one has the strongest scent to it. Which I love because the scent lasts all day and I found I don’t need to even re-apply it. It smells just as good throughout the day as when I first apply it on to my skin.
Wow! Women by Joop.
“Launched in 2018, a fragrance skilfully composes by the hypnotic strength of rose infusion with sparkling and juicy facets of wild raspberry.”
This perfume includes notes of Wild Raspberry, Rose Infusion, Red Rose, Peony, and White Musk.
I don’t think I’ve ever smelt a perfume by Joop for women before. I’ve smelt the men’s one before which I absolutely love! I really do love the smell of this perfume. You know when you find that one product that gives you that extra boost of confidence? Well, this perfume does just that. Like with the perfume by Elizabeth Arden, this one too has a stronger scent to it, but it’s not too overpowering, it’s just right and lasts all day.
Baiser Vole by Cartier.
“ Baiser Vole is a perfume that leaves a lingering trail. Every aspect of the lily, a flower of pure femininity, is explored for the first time.”
This perfume includes notes of Lily, Citrus, and Green Notes.
If I had to pick one out of all three, that is my most favourite, it definitely has to be this one. Although not as strong as the other two, it leaves a beautiful scent on the skin that lasts throughout the day. It has a more subtle scent to it. I absolutely love this one and it’s a joy to apply and wear.
If I had to pick a second favourite out of the three, I think it would have to be the one by Joop, that one is definitely my second favourite followed by Red Door by Elizabeth Arden. But in all honesty, they are three very beautiful and gorgeous fragrances. I absolutely love all three. I personally feel that this is a terrific subscription box. It has given me the chance to own and use perfume that I would not normally purchase because of the price tag. You get a generous amount in each bottle. As the bottle has a little spray applicator, they can be very easily applied to the body, without any spillages and any wastage of the scent. I feel that this would be a perfect gift for someone who loves perfume. I am extremely happy with my box and I highly recommend checking out the Secret Scent Box. Also if you subscribe monthly to the box, it means you can have different perfumes to wear every month at a very affordable price. I still have bottles of perfume that are half full from a few years ago! So I feel this box is perfect for having three very handy size bottles that can fit straight into your bag. They are quick and easy to pick up and use and just spritz away.
